Want to win $300? Then become a Campbell County Christmas Parade- Terry’s Pharmacy Holly Bowl Contender

imgresThe Campbell County Christmas parade would like to announce the 3rd  annual  Terry’s Pharmacy “Holly Bowl”. This annual award goes to the most decorated outdoor light and yard display in our area of Caryville, Jacksboro and LaFollette. The parade committee would like to thank Terry’s Pharmacy for being the headline sponsor for this award which has already become a joyous tradition for our citizens. Terry’s pharmacy will be donating a $300 check to the winner along with a trophy and large ribbon for their yard display. The public will get to vote for their choice even from their phones while driving the route. “Like most of us that grew up here, when I was a child it was a memorable family event to head out driving and view the amazing Christmas lights. Everyone could use a little more family/friend time and especially in December. That said, it’s also hard to motivate home owners to decorate outdoors when they most likely are dreading the light bill that will follow and that’s where the $300 cash prize comes in. We want to see traditions like decorating outdoors resurface and thought this would be a great way to stimulate that. Our Christmas parade committee doesn’t want to limit our reach to just the parade when there are so many other outlets to spread joy and new traditions in our community”.

To enter or to nominate someone please send the physical address of the property and a simple daytime photo of home to wrightjokelli@aol.com with subject “Holly Bowl”. Entrees and nominations will be taken from now until Wednesday, December 6th at which time we will close nominations and publish by a voting poll on parade website on Friday the 8th. Please note not all nominations may be considered for voting poll as yard design must have a certain level of significance. The parade committee will publish all approved entrees into a time saving “Holly Bowl Route” to assist people with ease in locating participant properties. For added visibility all Holly Bowl contenders will also receive a numbered sign to display in their front lawn as a locator for spectators when voting. Poll will be cut off and winner announced Friday, Dec 22nd.  Helpful guidelines to assist public in voting decisions will be posted on the website as well. Remember, nominating will end Wednesday Dec 6th and voting will begin Friday, December 8thth through Friday, December 22ndth.  Please contact Kelli Jo Wright at 423.912.8873 with questions. Thank you
